Bengaluru: Yeddyurappa says Anjaneya has no right to criticise Ayudha Pooja

Bengaluru, Oct 1: Karnataka BJP president B S Yeddyurappa on Sunday lambasted Social Welfare Minister H Anjaneya for hurting the sentiments of the people by his nasty comments pertaining to Ayudha Pooja celebrations held in Vidhana Soudha.

“The social welfare minister may have his personal views and opinions on certain issues but as minister he has no right to hurt the feelings and sentiments of the people who undertake religious rituals with great reverence,’’ the BJP leader said.

“Anjaneya does a great disservice to the people he represents," Yeddyurappa said while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a BJP programme organised at Devanahalli.

It may be recalled that Anjaneya had spoken against performing of pooja on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja in Vidhana Soudha.

Yeddyurappa further said that he would like to ask the chief minister Siddaramaiah as to how far it is fair and right to keep Anjaneya in the cabinet after he (Anjaneya) having shown "contempt and disrespect" to the people.

"Does Anjaneya mean to say that all those who conducted Ayudha Pooja in the state secretariat in the past were wrong? This needless and anti-people statement shows his arrogance," the BJP State president said.

In response to a question about the arrest of Jagadish Karanth, a senior functionary of the Hindu Jagarana Vedike, Yeddyurappa said, "Having utterly failed to maintain law and order, the Congress government headed by Siddaramaiah has resorted to cowardice act of arresting RSS functionaries on non-issues.”

“The Congress is trying to vitiate the atmosphere by targeting the Sangh Parivar. This has created a strong resentment among the people against the Congress government,’’ he added.

On Siddaramaih’s claim that he would continue to be the chief minister after 2018 elections and will perform Dasara Pooja again next year, Yeddyurappa said the people have decided to defeat Congress lock, stock and barrel in the elections and bring BJP back to power with comfortable majority.
"BJP has earned the goodwill and trust of the people. We have god's blessings. It is for sure that we will come to power and perform Dasara Pooja next year in a grand scale," Yeddyurappa added.

Let Anjaneya criticise Ayudha Pooja…. We “believer” will do all kind of Pooja as per our “Hindu Dharma”… Who is he to criticise??? If he doesn’t believe then it’s up to him not to worship….

Mr Daydreamer! The whole Karnataka knows that BJP trying to sideline Yeddi for the upcoming Election. They are planning to install someone from RSS Cadre, if at all they reach to power. (Its more unlikely though) But this gentleman dreaming of Yeddi becoming CM ... Funny indeed!

    Prem,

Your logic should also apply to Anjaneya who is wasting time by criticising ayudha pooja. There was no necessity to speak abt pooja, but it is required to congress since the election is approaching.

    BS Yeddyurappaji,
Being a Politician, Elected by people to represent their issues concerning them, getting paid for it, speak about them and work to resolve the same.
Religious issues, leave it to the religious leaders to address them, why you Politicians always involved in religious issues, leaving behind your own responsibilities?
If so much concerned about religious issues, why not make it your calling?
So many politicians, not handling their own job, but concerned and working on someone else job, for which they are not responsible and accountable.

We should stop making fake or unreliable cheep Ayudha and worshiping them.

We should make grate, reliable, dependable, marketable abroad, useable towards our enemy and in place of worshiping we should successfully use them on our enemy like United States & other western countries.

Would you respond the same way if any minorities holy places or rituals are being attacked, disrespected and contempt and hurt thier religious feeling?????. What type of law and order you are talking about arresting a RSS goonda who was publicly talking in a abusive and communal minded way. Isn't this an act of maintaining law and order in the community by arresting a culprit??????. If there is any difference of opinion or dispute with your opponent you don't arouse and agitate the whole world around you. There are many other ways to seek full justice without disturbing peace in the community unless otherwise this is only meaning of your development.

So Shobakka thought, there would be only 'Chembu' if followed Yeddi. She still has the charm(?), so better not waste for Yeddi.
