Doha: Qatar Indian Social Forum holds campaign to fight for justice

Media Release

Doha, Oct 1: A one-month campaign organized by the Qatar Indian Social Forum, Karnataka Chapter, NRI wing was successfully conducted at various locations under the title 'Himsaa Hatyeyannu Khandisona, Janateya Abhiyaana, Namma Kaalnadige Janara Balige'.

Abdul Latif Madakeri, Anwar Sadat Bajatur and Hamid Savanoor the main speakers throughout the campaign, condemned the growing violence in India, saying that violence is taking away the freedom of expression of the people.

The narrators said, "The current happenings in the country like killing of innocents and atrocities in the name of cow have proven that human beings are far behind animal life. The food used for cooking in our own homes had been sent to the laboratory for research and falsely proved that the food was prohibited for use though it is not the fact. The fact is Muslims and Dalits today are the victims of such violence and this is a great threat to our country from the fascist forces.

"On the one hand, fascist forces are targeting one particular community in the name of 'Love Jihad', 'Beti Bachao', 'triple talak' to divert the attention of the common people in order to hide their own atrocities.

"The law has deteriorated to such an extent that the evil forces are entering the homes of writers and journalists and killing them. This is a massacre of democracy and is fatal to the country. As a supplement, some newspapers and media have tied speculative tales from their own systematic rhetoric, claiming and showing falsehood to be true and hiding the truth from the general public as well as directly supporting evil forces.

"In order to come out of all these atrocities and to get our rights back, the common people must join hands and fight for justice to retain our democracy in the present situation."

The arrangements for the campaign were carried out by Irshad Kulai, Farooq Mudippu, Abusaali, Nazeer K C Road, Bashir Machampadi and the whole team led by Zameer Haleyangadi and Khalandar Jalsoor.
