Mumbai: Karkala-origin Krishna Shetty collapses, passes away

Mumbai, Sep 30: Krishna Siddu Shetty (70), resident of Vile Parle east, on September 29, collapsed and passed away when he was on his way to wash hands after playing Carrom at the Prabhodhankar Thakre sports complex.

Krishna was a native of Kukkundoor, Karkala and had retired after being employed in Mapco.

He had come to play indoor games in sports complex as usual. Local MLA Krishna S Hegde who was present, there immediately took him to the local Nithyanand private hospital but Krishna died of cardiac arrest without responding to treatment.

He has left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter, many friends and relatives.
