Hubballi, Sep 26: Healthy County Resorts, promoted by Srikrishna Group and The Ocean Pearl was launched on Monday, September 25, opposite Sanjivini Park, on the Hubballi- Dharwad road.
Minister of Mines and Geology and Dharwad district in-charge minister Vinay Kulkarni inaugurated the resort and spa.
In his address, he congratulated Pai Brothers, promoters, for the excellent project in Hubbali.
"This is the first luxury resort in Hubbali. There are many large buildings and hotels, but this is the first of its kind. I remember Pai Brothers started the small dairy-venture in Hubbali. They have been known for their hard work right from the beginning," he said and wished them the best.
Chief guest chairman and managing director of NRL group Dr Vijay Sankeshwar, in his address congratulated the Ocean Pearl management. "We all started business together. Pai Group has been working hard from day one, and became well established with Srikrishna Dairy and Hangyo Ice Cream," he said and hoped many more resorts of the type emerge in the city.
Chairman of Srikrishna Milk and Hangyo Ice Cream, Dinesh R Pai, said, "The resort focuses on giving equal services to all its customers. The cottages, presidential suites, premium rooms, family rooms and standard rooms accommodate Indian and Western styles. Swimming Pool, gym, spa and other facilities are also available. Healthy County Resort sprawls over an area of 5 acre, and is in close proximity to the railway and the Hubbali Dharward highway. The well-designed resort is set to provide top service to a variety of customers, with its three exclusive restaurants - vegetarian, coral and non-vegetarian."
BN Girish, vice president, The Ocean Pearl said, "Hubballi- Dharwad are the fastest growing cities in the state. The uniqueness of the twin cities is that they are surrounded by historical places. It is a much need resort in the location."
Several who contributed towards the project were felicitated on the occasion.
MLA Aravind Bellad, MLC Pradeep Shettar, EVP, Infosys, Ramadas Kamath U, chairman of Ocean Pearl - Sagar Ratna Group, Jayaram Banan, chairman of Kamat Group of Hotels, R R Kamat, Aslam Bhalli and Sandalwood actress Harshika Poonacha were present on stage among others.
The Puja was held in the morning, after which special pure vegetarian lunch was served by Ocean Pearl.
Managing director of Hangyo Ice Cream Pradeep G Pai welcomed the guests. Manohar Prasad compered the programme.
Thousands from Mangalore, Bhatkal, Kumta, Goa, Mumbai, and Hubbali-Dharward were present at the function. Dinner concluded the programme for the day.
