Mangaluru: BIT, BEADS promote 'Green Walkathon' in city

Mangaluru Sep 24: Trustee of Beary's group, Mazhar Beary on the eve of World Green Building Week 2017 Sunday September 24 flagged off the green walkathon at Nehru Maidan here to promote a clean and green city. The green walkathon was organised by Beary's Institute of Technology and Beary Enviro Architecture Design School.

Nearly 1,300 participants took part in the noble initiative of 'Green Walkathon' to promote a clean and green city. The walkathon proceeded from Nehru Maidan and concluded at Mangala Stadium.



In the concluding programme, MCC commissioner M Nazeer said, "This is a good initiative by the institute in promoting a green city. There is need for such programmes in the current scenario where people need to create awareness on protecting the environment. MCC will provide full fledged support toward this noble cause.

Prinicipal of Beary Institute of Technology Dr Anthony A J, principal of Beary Enviro Architecture Design School Professor Bavesh Mehta, Professor Mustafa, Safwan and others were present.
