Bellary: Eleven new residential colleges soon – minister Rayareddy

Bellary, Sep 23: Minister of higher education in the state, Basavaraja Rayareddy said that eleven new residential colleges will be opened soon to encourage higher education and increase the number of college goers.

He informed, “Five colleges among them will be opened in Hyderabad-Karnataka area which has remained backward in education. Another six colleges will be opened by area development board.

“Rs 25 crores will be spent on each college. Eleven thousand students will be able to get admission in eleven residential colleges. They are  permitted to fill posts that have remained vacant in 412 first grade and aided colleges for the last seventeen years,” he said.
