Mangaluru south constituency Congress convention to be held on Sep 25

Mangaluru Sep 22: “Mangaluru south constituency Congress convention will be held on September 25 at Town Hall,” informed MLA J R Lobo.

Addressing news conference here on Friday September 22, J R Lobo said, “AICC general secretary Vishunathan, district in- charge minister Ramanath Rai, minister for food and civil supplies U T Khader, MLC Ivan D Souza, Mayor Kavitha Sanil, booth committee members and office bearers of this convention along with nearly 2,500 representatives will take part.” 

MLA J R Lobo said, “Mane Mane Manege Congress campaign will be launched on September 23 at Shivbagh. The motive of this campaign is to visit homes and distribute brochure which speaks about the milestones of last four years of state government. This will also include our success in introducing people friendly schemes and failure of central government.” 

Power Lifters Praveen Kumar Acharya and Israr Pasha were felicitated on the occasion. 

Power lifters Praveen Kumar Acharya and Ishrar Pasha had successful outing at Commonwealth Power lifting championship held in South Africa from September 11 to 17.

Praveen Kumar Acharya bagged a gold and a silver in senior 83 kg category with best lifter award. Ishrar Pasha bagged two golds and a silver in junior 108 kg category. 

Congress leader Kallige Tharnath Shetty, corporator Appi, Mahabala Maarla and others were present.
