Bengaluru: Modi to grace inaugural of BJP Yatra, to be tool for electioneering

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Sep 19: BJP has decided to transform 'Nava Karnataka Parivartana Rath Yatra' which it had proposed to launch on November 1, into an electioneering tour. As the party wants Prime Minister (PM), Narendra Modi, and party national president, Amit Shah, to take part in the inaugural, the party has decided to delay the start of the Yatra from November 1 to November 2.

In the past, the party had planned to begin the Rath yatra on November 1, which happens to be 'Karntataka Rajyotsava' day and end the road show on January 15, 2018. BJP, which has before it the mission of reaching the magic figure of 150 seats in the assembly, plans to rely heavily on the oratory skills of Narendra Modi and planning skills of Amit Shah. Therefore, it is gathered that the party is trying hard to see that Modi addresses rallies at least at 25 places during the Yatra, while they want Amit Shah to speak at 50 points.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi

It is almost certain that Modi and Shah will participate in both the inaugural and valedictory function of the Yatra. The state leaders want the presence of at least one of them during rallies at district headquarters. They are busy working out schedules of the PM and Shah in consultation with the party's national office at New Delhi. Sources said that once their schedule is finalized, the party will draw up the route of the Yatra to cover old Mysuru, coast, Malnad region, Hyderabad Karnataka and Mumbai Karnataka areas

The proposed Rath Yatra, which will conclude during the middle of January next year, will touch all the 224 assembly constituencies in the state. In all the constituencies, conventions named 'Navashakti Samavesha' are planned, in which PM and Amit Shah besides some union ministers and national leaders of the party will participate. Efforts are also to bring L K Advani for these congregations, it is gathered.

leader of the opposition in the assembly, Jagadish Shettar, opposition leader in the council, K S Eshwarappa, and state office bearers of the parry will accompany Yeddyurappa all through the Yatra. MPs, MLAs, MLCs etc from local constituencies have been told that it is mandatory for them to take part in rallies being organized in their respective areas. The party believes that the Yatra will prove to be a shot in the arm for the party's plan to secure not less than 150 seats in the assembly.

Before every election 'Yatra' became signature for the party to stoke communal tension. In the early days of Babri Masjid issue LK Advani took the bloody wheel of 'Rath Yatra' across India and sow the seed of hate which ended with more than 5000 deaths and more than Rs10,000 crores to economic loss.
Not too long ago it seemed that Modi's political career was stuck in the doldrums in Gujarat. With the yatra he has managed to convert his personal battle for survival into that of the Gujarat BJP's. Then comes the 'Gaurav Yatra' make the assembly elections a cakewalk for the BJP, but for Modi the benefits are already accruing.
In running up for Uttar Pradesh elections BJP organised Parivartan Yatra leaving no stone unturned to make the event a grand success. The state BJP spent over Rs 6 crore in purchasing around 1,650 motorcycles for its UP Assembly election campaign.

After drubbing in Bihar elections BJP has wanted to test the same election strategy which gave them tremendous success. It also noted that Prime Minister 'Videsh Yatra' don't fall with any elections to the state. It was clever planned strategy which BJP wanted to implement in Karnataka as well.

'Nava Karnataka Parivartana Rath Yatra' has many similarities to Uttar Pradesh election campaign. One among them is the bike rally which already tested in Mangalore stoking communal tensions.

Kannadigas need to understand the real motives of divisive politics of the BJP which may turn the state in to another 'Shmashana' instead of development.

Anirudh P., Bengaluru. Which party are you referring to? For your kind information, I don't belong to any party. As far as I am concerned, the BJP and the Congress are the two sides of the same coin. Both are corrupt. The Congress lost the last elections as the people were fed up with their corrupt practices. That paved the way for the entry of the BJP. The people wanted a change for the better. Mr, Modi promised so many things before the elections. However, the BJP has let the country down. The promises made have disappeared into thin air. The people are left with no choice now. It is a choice between two evils in the next elections.

Upon taking oath as PM, FEKU told "Mithrooooon, give me 100 days... will bring back black money from Swiss bank"!

When imposing demonetization, he told "Mithrooooon, give me 50 days... all black money will come out"!

Forget about recovering black money and distributing it among citizens (15 lakhs each as he promised), he took 98,000 crore loan from Japan for bullet train for wealthy Gujjus (as it is out of reach of common man)!

I am not supporting or opposing any political party. I only want to draw the readers' attention to one point. Just compare Yeddyurappa with Siddaramaih. Recollect the problems and the level of corruption the state had experienced when the Yeddyurappa led BJP government ruled Karnataka and compare it with the present times under Siddaramaih. I leave it to the readers to judge for themselves.

    Shame… Shame… Shame… you all read this…

In Mathura meet the 59-year-old German woman, Friederike Irina Bruning, who takes care of sick, abandoned cows in her gaushala. In 1978, this German lady came to India as a tourist but now has her own gaushala and is a saviour to at least 1,200 sick, injured and abandoned cows. She has her own cowshed known as 'Surbhai Gauseva Niketan'.

She says: "I saw that people of late abandon their cows when they grow old and stop giving milk. In her 3,300 sq. yard gaushala, she takes care of the animals by providing food and medicine and despite not having sufficient place anymore she still does not refuse when someone leaves a sick or injured cow outside her ashram.
