Mangaluru: 10-day Dasara celebrations to begin at Kudroli Temple on Sept 21

Mangaluru, Sep 18: The preparations for 10 -day 'Mangaluru Dasara 2017’ at Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra Kudroli are in full swing. The celebrations will be held from September 21 to September 30, informed B Janardhana Poojary.

Addressing media here on Monday September 18, Janardhana Poojary said, "Installation (Pratisthapana) of the idols of Sharada and Nava Durga will take on September 21 at Swarna Kalamantapa with religious rituals. Chandika Homa will be held on September 28, Maha Pooje and Maha Anna Santharpana programme will be held on September 29. Cultural programmes by renowned artistes will be held every day at Santhoshi Kalamantapa,”

"Dasara procession will begin from Kudroli on September 30, where Ganapathi, Navadurga and Sharada idols will be taken out during the procession. Nearly 75 tableaus will take part. The procession will pass through the well decorated and colourfully lit main streets of the city for a distance of about 7 kilometers. Procession will start from Kudroli - Lady hill - Lalbhag - Ballalbagh - Hampanakatta – University College - Ganapathi High school road - Car Street- New Chitra talkies and will culminate by immersing the idols at Kudroli premises,” he informed.

Kudroli temple members H S Sairam, Raghavendra Kulur, Padmaraj R, B K Tharanath, K Maheshchandra, B Devendra Poojary and others were present.

    Hi

    Mr.Poojary make sure all the bars should be closed on this Day to keep safe from unwanted accidents and incidents .Make sure that no one should block roads and music and bajans played at minimal level as per high court.Wish all hindu bro & sisters..Happy Navarathri..

    appreciate your suggestion. we should follow supreme court guideline. every day & every one should follow the noise pollution rules. it should not be applicable for any one occasion. this should followed by every one without considering the importance of the particular function or caste/religion.
