Kundapur, Sep 14: A man under drunken stupor forgot the place where he had parked his bike and created anxious situation at Sastan for some time on Friday September 14.

It is learnt that he had parked his bike across the road near the divider at Pandeshwar cross at about 9.45 pm on Thursday night. Nearby shop keeper Raviraj had seen the bike when he was returning home after closing his shop. As he saw the bike at the same place on next day also, he enquired with another shopkeeper. Though they waited saying that somebody might have parked the bike as the petrol got over, there was no trace of its owner.

Thereafter shop owner Chandramohan Poojary telephoned Kota police station saying that a bike is parked in front of the shop since last night and nobody has come to take it.

Kota station police who came there checked the bike and found a promissory note in the name of Harish Poojary (name changed). When they checked the number plate they confirmed that the bike belongs to him.

When they conducted investigations regarding Harish Poojary they came to know that he has incurred loss in several businesses conducted by him. Police out of anxiety looked for him in nearby hills and other places. Another group tried to contact him over phone.

Meanwhile Gurunarasimha temple management committee member Prasanna Tunga who came there said that the owner of the bike was drunk and was unable to walk on Thursday night. “I do not know how he came here from there.” At that point the police and the locals got a picture of the incident. Meanwhile the owner of the bike over phone confessed that he forgot where he parked the bike in the influence of alcohol. He had searched for his bike in the morning. He was in Udupi when he received the call and said that he will come there soon. Those who were present there became quiet after that.

Pandeshwar gram panchayat president Govinda Poojary, Sastan C A bank president Pratap Shetty, Prashanth Shetty and others had taken part in the search.
