Bengaluru, Sep 14: “We have clues on the killers of senior journalist Gauri Lankesh. But I cannot reveal the details,” said home minister Ramalinga Reddy on Wednesday, September 13.

He was speaking to reporters in city.

“Special Investigation Team (SIT) which is probing the Gauri Lankesh murder has managed to gather crucial information. But if we reveal the details, it will hamper the probe and will also allow the culprits to flee,” Reddy said.

He refused to any more clarification and advised to wait.

    The only clue they have got is 7.65 mm country made pistol and the person is a sharp shooter and well trained. So i suggest Siddu govt to conduct the shooting competition with 7.65 mm pistol with huge prize amount (say 10 Cr). Whoever wins the competition, catch him and you got the culprit.. :)

    We know the clue! Till last night it was , the same gun that killed Kaluburgi was used in GL murder. The latest forensic report states that it was the same gun used in 1948 as well. What a sorry state of affairs! There are 10s of killing in the state for the past couple of years that have just reached a dead end . You cannot blame God and Modi for everything. Get a life HM.

    Here are the clues - they were two human beings. One of them is short and wearing a leather jacket with helmet. He used a country made pistol. This means that he knows how to use a pistol. As per forensics, pistol was 7.65 mm country made pistol. A similar one was used to kill Dr. Kalburgi. We have not been able to find Dr Kalburgi's killers till date due to bad luck , but we know now that whoever killed Gauri were also Dr Kalburgi's killers. We have a competent criminal investigation force and hence we don't want to give it to CBI. We will find the killers before the next election, make it an election issue and once the election is over and we win, we don't care if they are actual killers or not. To cut a long story short - it does not matter if we know who actual killers are. But, what people think about who killers are really matters for us. Hence we will give useless statements to media and make people think in direction we want.

    I guess this Govt. will not close this case till May 2018 !, every alternate week there will be a statement that they have clue ! they are closing in !, They are very close ! They are in inches away from catching the culprits ! etc.

A innocent hard working honest journalist with free thinking was lynched to death on a fateful day for no fualt of hers, They deserve no mercy. They will be caught .     100% agree with your comment except "A innocent hard working honest journalist with free thinking". She was convicted by court and lets not insult our courts which are temple of justice.

    Other than that, whoever has killed her should be caught and punished. Killing any person is not justifiable.
