Chitradurga: Theft in IT-raid fame Veerendra's home - items worth Rs 6.4 crore lost

Chitradurga, Sep 13: The house belonging to an entrepreneur from Challakere in the district, K C Veerendra and his brother, was burgled on the night of Monday September 11. Veerendra had shot to limelight after a recent raid by income tax department during which it was said that cash and golden bricks had been found concealed inside the bathroom of his house.

Veerendra is also a politician.

It is said that the thieves took away 21 gold bricks of one kg each and cash worth Rs 10.7 lac. The house, which belongs to both Veerendra and his brother, K C Tippeswamy, is located at Hosamane extension.

Investigation relating to the IT raid where income in excess of declared sources of income were reportedy found, is continuing. In the meanwhile, the entrepreneur has claimed that his house has been burgled.

Police are investigating.
