Bengaluru: Vidhana Soudha gets bomb threat, security beefed up

Bengaluru, Sep 11: The Bengaluru police have reportedly received a call that the Vidhana Soudha, the seat of Karnataka legislature, will be bombed by September 25. Expectedly, the threat has sent the police into a frenzy.

As per reports, the caller also threatened to bomb Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, or Taralaya, by the same date.

The caller reportedly said that a person named Nagesh will bomb Vidhana Soudha within September 25.

The caller, who identified himself as Suresh, contacted the Bengaluru police control room, reports said.

In the wake of the threat, the police have beefed up the security in and around Vidhana Soudha and Taralaya.

A case has been registered in Vidhana Soudha police station.
