Abu Dhabi: KCF holds get-together for Eid

Abu Dhabi, Sep 6: A fun-filled Eid get-together was organized at Al Watbapark under the aegis of Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) Abu Dhabi recently. Kids, gents and ladies actively participated in the events.

The programme was inaugurated by Hameed Kupetti and was graced by dignitaries like Hameed Saadi, Amani Ajjavara, businessman Ibrahim of Bright Marble, Dawood Master and others.

It was very well planned covering various entertainment games such as football, sack jumping, tug-of-war, lemon on the spoon for gents and chocolate picking and memory test games for children. It was wonderful to see the seriousness of children while participating.

“Usually, we miss our family immensely during Eid celebrations, but by arranging such programmes, KCF has brought Kannadigas under one umbrella where we can greet each other,” said a participant.

An expatriate working at a corporate office said that participating in such entertainment programmes allows everyone to reduce stress. He thanked and requested KCF to organize such programmes frequently.

Another participant who was new to UAE said that he was hesitant to attend the programme as he was unfamiliar with people, but the games and team spirit helped him to know each other and make new friend.

Delivering the vote of thanks Hassainar Amani praised the UAE government for their generosity towards expatriates and creating a peaceful environment for the people to live. Moreover, he requested participants for their continuous support, cooperation and involvement in KCF programmes and community welfare projects.

Umar, Kabeer Bayambady, Basheer Mulky, Hakim Turkalige and Nasir Galimukha’s well planned coordination and hard work led to the success of the event.
