Mangaluru: Gang of 15 barges into house at Ullal, beats up family, vandalizes

Mangaluru, Sep 3: A gang of about 15 made its way into a house forcibly. Besides attacking the members of the family staying there, the gang vandalized the house and damaged property.

The incident happened at a house near Ullal Dargah at around midnight on Saturday September 2.

The gang members, it is said, were armed with sabres, hatchets, machetes etc. They attacked owner of the house, Qasim, his wife, Maimuna, and children, Soyal and Ameen.

 

It is said that the gang had come searching for Qasim's son Hamza. Upon not finding him there, they reportedly turned their ire on the family members.

In addition to damaging things inside the house, the miscreants also damaged windows and doors of the house, the victims said.

The injured persons have been admitted to a private hospital here.

Ullal police have registered a case and investigation is in progress.
