Udupi: Trailer of Kannada short film ‘Sanchalana’ released

Udupi, Aug 31: A young and talented team from Kundapura has produced a short film 'Sanchalana'. The trailer of the film was released on August 29. The film is produced by Impana Productions of Raghavendra Sherigar.

Lead actor of the film Rathik Murdeshwar speaking to mediapersons at Udupi press club said, “The film will be released in a grand ceremony on September 2 at Bhandarkars College, Kundapura. The film is based on the investigation of a journalism student who gets caught in sand mafia and ends her life. The story reveals the mystery behind her death. The film revolves around ecological aspects and social responsibility.”

Kaup MLA Vijaykumar Sorake will be the chief guest for the release function. Narayan Shetty, principal, Bhandarkars College Kundapura, Dr H Shantharam, S N Hebbar, Karthikeya Madyasth, and Abhinandan Shetty will be present at the release programme.

Shrinidhi Shetty will be seen in the lead role in the film. Raghavendra Sherigar will play a negative character.

Arjun Das has handled the direction and written the dialogues and the screenplay. Sunil, Nagaraj Acharya, and Raghav are the associate directors. The story is narrated by Prashanth Gopady.

Akshay Kumar is the director for photography. Vinayak Mallya has handled editing.

Music has been composed by Sandesh Mangalore and Jayanth Aithal. Danny Sheldon has helped in sound effects.

Dubbing and recording done by Riddhi Creations Udupi, and art and designs are by Siraj Koteshwar.

Popular singers Deepika Raghavendra,and Jyothi Kamath Kumbhashi have lent their voice to the songs. Manjunath Koteshwar has handled the stunts in the film.
