Bengaluru: Will find a Dalit bride for Rahul Gandhi - Karjol's retort to CM

Bengaluru, Aug 30: BJP leader, Govind Karjol, in an apparent reaction to chief minister, Siddaramaiah's advice to BJP leaders to desist from undertaking gimmicks like having food in the company of Dalits and instead come forward to arrange marriages of Dalit girls and boys with people from upper castes, expressed his readiness to find suitable girl from Dalit family for Rahul Gandhi. He challenged the chief minister to take over the responsibility of negotiating the offer and see that Rahul Gandhi gets married.

Addressing the gathering at the executive of BJP Slum Morcha held at the party office here on Tuesday August 29, Karjol noted that Rahul Gandhi is unmarried and felt that it would be apt for him to marry a Dalit girl from Karnataka.

"We are ready to find a suitable girl for Rahul. Let Siddaramaiah, Mallikarjun Kharge, Dr G Parameshwar, and Dinesh Gundu Rao convince Sonia Gandhi and make preparations to perform this marriage," he advised.

He noted that Siddaramaiah wants BJP leaders to accept Dalit girls as daughters-in-law. "Instead, let him advice Rahul Gandhi to do so. If Sonia Gandhi agrees to develop relations in this way with the family of Kharge, Parameshwar or myself, I will salute the concerned. Congress leaders believe in preaching not practicing what they preach. They should desist from talking big and boasting about themselves," he advised.

Karjol said that he cannot give this advice to Yeddyurappa, whose children are alleady married. As second marriage is legally prohibited, the chief minister can implement his advice by applying it to Rahul Gandhi, who is still a bachelor, he added.

Reacting to these remarks, state food and civil supplies minister, U T Khader, said that Govind Karjol should confine himself within the limits of decency and decorum and should not talk lightly of a leader of the stature of Rahul Gandhi. He predicted that truth will triumph and Rahul Gandhi will become Prime Minister one day. He also added that those who have risen to power by giving false information and promises will lose power in no time.

Do you remember those days when Bharatiya Janata Party staged protests across Karnataka against chief minister Siddaramaiah-led Congress government’s ‘Shaadi Bhagya’ scheme which provided financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to brides of minority communities such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains and Buddhists in Karnataka?

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA has come up with almost a similar scheme. Interestingly, this scheme is only for Muslims not for all minority communities.Christened as ‘Shaadi Shagun’, the Centre’s new scheme will provide a wedding gift of Rs 51,000 to “graduate” Muslim women.

Then BJP Yuva Morcha condemn state govt scheme 'Shaadi Bhagya' .Now 3 times BJP Member of legislative assembly open a office of 'Shadi.com'.

In rest of India 'Moral police', in Adityanath 'Uttam Pradesh' anti Romeo in Karnataka matchmaking. Party of difference, shining India.
Let's Mr. Karjol find his daughter pure Brahmin and solemnised the wedding by Udupi mutt head and set the example to wipe casteism from India.
