Udupi: Painting Exhibition of Drishya School of Arts from May 25 to 27

Udupi, May 24:  The annual arts exhibition of the students of the city based Drishya School of Arts, will be held at the air-conditioned Dristi Art Gallery here, from Sunday May 25 to Tuesday May 27, informed Drishya Artists Forum president Ramesh Rao. He was addressing a press meet held at Press Club here on Friday. 

The art exhibition will be inaugurated by Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman of Alvas Education Foundation, at 10.30 a m on Sunday.  Maj Gen B N Kaul, Manipal and Udupi Su Ha Sam president H Shantaraj Aithal will be the chief guests of the occasion, he added.

Around 100 paintings of 24 arts students, Vidya Praveen Kumar, Varinol Kini, Savitri, Laxmi Nayak, Sitara Rao, Swati M Tolar, Dhulari Shetty, Arpita, Khurshid Yakoub, Gayatri J, Veena Menon, Ashok Shet, Soumya, Manmohan Pai, Shreya Dephnie, Nagesh, Vinuta, Chandrahas Rao, Priya Acharya, Sandhya Rani, Sudhir Shanbag, Radhakrishna Acharya, Rahat Majeed and Madhu J, will be displayed at the exhibition.

Artists Forum president Ramesh Rao, secretary Sarita Kumar, Praveen Kumar and Priya Acharya were present at the press conference.
