Udupi: Watch - MP Oscar Fernandes shakes a leg with Huli Vesha dancers

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (PS/EP)

Udupi, Aug 25: Festive spirit is in the air and everywhere you see, there is celebration. One person who could not hold back his enthusiasm and decided to sway with the music is Rajya Sabha MP Oscar Fernandes.

The former union minister won hearts when he shook a leg with the team of Huli Vesha dancers to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi.

Needless to add, the tiger dancers were more than happy to see their political representative display such festive bonhomie.

Members of Veera Maruthi gym along with the dancers had arrived to greet Oscar Fernandes on Ganesh Chaturthi at the Udupi guest house. While the dancers were performing for Oscar Fernandes, he watched for a while, but the music and the festive spirit got the better of him, and he joined in the celebrations with a step or two. He was accompanied by district Congress vice-president Prakhyath Shetty.

The multi-talented Oscar has excellent knowledge of yoga and is a good swimmer. He had recently drawn the attention of Rajya Sabha members by singing a Tulu song in the House.

What do you mean by Mr. Fernandes should maintain his dignity? That is a feudal mentality. He is a peoples representative. So what is wrong if he joins the people in celebrating a festival. I wish other elected peoples' representatives take a leaf from him and behave like ordinary citizens, instead of behaving like privileged class after getting elected.
