Bengaluru: Harish Sherigar's Kannada film 'March 22' set to hit screens on Aug 25

Bengaluru, Aug 20: One of the much-awaited films in Sandalwood, ‘March 22’, directed by Kudlu Ramakrishna and produced by well-known NRI businessman Harish Sherigar and his wife Sharmila Sherigar is all set to be released on August 25.

The director and the producer announced that the film will be released on August 25 on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Revealing the details of the film, they said that the film will deliver a meaningful message to the society.

"There may be some people who look for religion when it comes to water also. But water does not have any barriers. It is the essence of the entire mankind. It is beyond religion, caste and creed. March 22 is observed as world water day, so no other name would fit for a film with such aspirations. The film creates awareness on proper usage of water," said Kudlu Ramakrishna.

"Manikant Kadri and Ravishekar have the composed music for the film. The shooting and dubbing of the film has also been also completed. Many producers have come forward to acquire the dubbing rights in Hindi and other languages," added Ramakrishna.

Veteran actor Anant Nag gave more details about the film.

Gayathri Anant Nag, senior actors Geetha, Vinaya Prasad, Sharath Lohitashwa, Aryavardhan, Kiran Raj, Meghashree, Deepti Shetty, producers Harish Sherigar and his wife Sharmila Sherigar, film distributor Jack Manju, senior actress Padmaja Rao, music director Kadri Manikant, dance director Madan Harini and others were present.

Actor Ravindranath compered the programme.

‘March 22’ has generated a lot of curiosity among the fans in Karnataka as well as overseas. The film has put forward sensitive subjects of water problem and socio-economic issues. It has been appreciated by the censor board as well.

Produced by Harish Sherigar under the banner of ACME Movies International, the film also stars businessman Padmashree Dr B R Shetty who has featured on the big screen for the first time.

Sherigar who is fond of Kannada films is also a good singer. He has produced the film with great ambition. The pair of Anant Nag and Geetha is seen in the film after a long time.

    First of all let me congratulate the producer of the film Mr.Harish Sherigar and his beloved wife Mrs.Sharmila Sherigar for their efforts to bringing in debut Kannada film under the banner of ACME Movie International comprising of well balanced,matured,senior,versatile crew members directed by Koodlu Ramakrishna.
