Mangaluru, Aug 19: The sixth additional district and sessions court here has turned down the bail application filed by Goiurav Kayya (19), who is an accused in Karthik Raj murder that happened within the limits of Konaje police station limits on October 22, 2016.

In this case, Gourav Kayya, Gautham Kayya (26), and sister of the victim, Kavyashree (25), are in judicial custody.

Kavyashree is married, and her husband works in a Gulf country. As she had differences with brother, Karthik Raj, she used to live separate from him. She had fallen in love with Gourav Kayya, and in course of time, asked him to kill her brother. Gourav, along with brother, Gautham, executed the murder plan when Karthik was on his walking routine in the morning. Konaje police inspector had investigated the case and filed charge sheet. Judge of the court, D T Puttaranga Swamy, who took up the bail application, rejected it on Friday.

In this case, public prosecutor, Judith O M Crasta, had argued on behalf of the prosecution.
