'Twin Peaks' actor arrested for assaulting woman


Washington, Aug 18 (IANS): "Twin Peaks" actor Jeremy Lindholm was arrested here and accused of viciously beating his girlfriend with a baseball bat and trying to kill her. He is facing an attempted murder charge.

According to the Washington police department, officers responded to a call from a businessman on Wednesday evening for an alleged assault, reports people.com.

The call said a man, identified as actor Jeremy Lindholm, was assaulting a woman with a baseball bat. When officers reached there, Lindholm was trying to escape. He gave up when officers confronted him in an alley and was then taken into custody.

Surveillance video caught footage of the incident and captured the "extremely violent assault perpetrated by Lindholm".

Lindholm was seen in "Twin Peaks" earlier this year.
