Mangaluru: Expert College Kodialbail holds I-Day celebration

Mangaluru, Aug 16: “It is high time we rededicate ourselves for the sake of the nation,” said Captain Ganesh Karnik, MLC Karnataka Govt, chief guest of 71st Independence Day celebration held at Expert PU College, on August 15 at Bhagavati temple premises, Kodialbail.

“Education comes with great responsibility and accountability. On a pessimistic note, over the past 70 years India has become a loud talker, impractical, dishonest, corrupt and lazy. So it is the right time to rededicate ourselves for the sake of the nation.”



Ganesh Kuntalpady, managing trustee, Bhagavati temple Kodialbail addressed the gathering as another guest of the day. Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Educational & Charitable Foundation®, Prof Ramachandra Bhat, principal, Expert P U College, Kodialbail, Ustad Rafique Khan, trustee, Expert Educational & Charitable Foundation®, Yogaratna Gopalakrishna Delampady and Ankush N Nayak, Alumnus, Expert PU College, Kodialbail were the dignitaries present on the dais.

The national flag was hoisted by the chief guest and the cultural programme followed. Prof Ramachandra Bhat, principal, administered the oath of office to the newly elected members of the student council.

Various competitions were held in connection with Independence day and the prizes were given away on the occasion.

Rishab Innani, vice president of the student council welcomed the gathering and Spoorthi, joint secretary of the council proposed the vote of thanks. Lahari Alva and Smriti compered the programme.
