Bengaluru: Amit Shah has no 'moral right' to call my govt corrupt - Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, Aug 14 (PTI): Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today said BJP President Amit Shah has no moral right to call his government corrupt, asserting that none of the Congressmen had gone to jail on graft charges as it had happened during the BJP rule in the state.

"Shah has been saying this repeatedly. He has no moral right to speak about my government," the chief minister said, as he came under attack from Shah. The BJP president is on a three-day visit to Karnataka since Saturday to galvanise the party for the assembly polls that is due early next year.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting on Mahadayi water dispute issue involving Goa with floor leaders, MPs and MLAs here, Siddaramaiah said, "He(Shah) does not have morality at all, as corrupt are sitting next to him when he is saying things against us."

"Our's has been a corruption free and scam free government in the last four years. None of us had gone to jailas happened in the previous BJP government," he added.

Sounding the poll bugle in Karnataka, Shah had on Saturday kicked off his visit to the state, declaring that theparty stands united and said, 'Ab Ki Baar, BJP Sarkar' (This time, a BJP government).

Terming the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government as "corrupt", he had asked people to overthrow it.

The BJP and Narender Modi took full advantage of the 2G scam involving an alliance partner of the Congress. Kalmadi was an exception and appears to have been acting on his own as no linkage of the Congress in the Common Wealth Games irregularities. Bhai Amit Shah stop raising this bogey of corruption time and again. With three years of Modi Sarkar show case the achivements of the central Govt instead of chasing the shadow of corruption. Talk of how much employment has been created, why is the subsidy on gas being withdrawn, what about the high cost of petroleum products inspite of world prices hitting rock bottom, how much black money did you get with the demonitisation still counting ?, what about make in India, start up India, how many cities have become smart cities, prices of essential commodities, horse trading in Gujarat etc, etc, etc. Please showcase your achievements and seek our votes not on the same bogie of corruption. we have had a very Able and Stable Government totally corruption free with all round Peace and Harmony.

Introspect in to yourselves rather than questioning his moral rights.....! Even a hard core thief has moral rights to alert his neighbor on theft taking place at his premises. Please do not drag an important issue to the Juggernaut of technicalities to fool people around.

Karnataka is still top in job creations, Falls 3rd in good governance after Kerala and TN, Ranks 3rd in renewable energy, Tops in start ups and Siddu received best CM award from the hands of Mr. Jhootly. Through unified market platform karnataka farmers get the highest support price for their produce.
I wonder where are those BJP ruled states? In few states they are ruling from decades. Sometimes do look into Karnataka government updates page to understand what work/progress karnataka is doing .

Millions of tonnes of iron ore confiscated by Lokayuktha and in their own custody in Belikeri port, gets vanished overnight. People know who done it, with enough evidences. However, this and hundreds of scams like these no longer corruption as per BJP.

Till the time, there are people believing BJP narrative, nothing good can be hoped for the country for another generation.

    Dear ABD Lost Angel

We do not think so, coz if Yeddy and Reddy the most corrupt politicians of karnataka were the part of Congress Govt. then I would have believed your comments. Moreover Siddhu had given open challenge to opposition party to have a debate on the development & corruption issues of present Govt. but none of them had guts to respond to him. I am not saying Congress is clean but Siddhu Govt. tried his best to give good governance.
