Kasargod, Aug 14: The body of Raveendran (48), a resident of Bandadka Maripadpu Chamekochchi, was found hanging in a room of his house on Sunday August 13.
Bedagam police have registered a case. As the family members of Raveendran expressed suspicion about the cause of his death, Raveendran's body was sent to Pariyaram Medial College Hospital for postmortem.
Raveendran has been named as an accused in a case of hacking a relative named Prabhakaran to death relating to property dispute in 2014. This case was to come up for hearing in the district and sessions court here soon.
Deputy superintendent of police from here, Sukumaran, and in-charge circle inspector of Adur police station, Babu Peringoth, visited the spot and gathered details.
