Puttur: St Philomena College bags championship in state level fest

Puttur, Aug 13: At the state level inter-collegiate fest ‘Ecovanza’, on Thursday, August 10, economics students of St Philomena College here, emerged overall champions.

The fest was organised by department of Economics, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru.

Students exhibited a great show in all nine events, namely, wealth of waste, essay writing, quiz, collage, turncoat, budget preparation, advertising, elocution and fashion show.

In wealth out of waste, Edal Lobo and Fathima Faiza won the first place. In essay writing, Joshila Menezes secured the second place. In quiz, Nidhisha Acharya and Apoorva secured second place.

Harshitha P V, assistant professor, department of Economics coordinated the team.

Principal, prof Leo Noronha congratulated all members of the team for securing the overall championship.
