Mangaluru: St Ann’s College bags ‘Best Green Initiative in First Grade College Sector’ award

Mangaluru, Aug 8: St Ann’s College of Education (Autonomous) for its contribution towards environmental protection, green belt development and green nurturing activities was awarded the ‘Best Green Initiative in First Grade College Sector’ award on Tuesday, August 8.

Principal Dr Sr Clare AC, received the award from B Ramanath Rai, minister for forest, environment, ecology, during ‘Nature Conservation Day – 2017’ celebration at Town Hall, Mangaluru. The college educates and trains student teachers in promoting love for the nature, environmental conservation, recycling waste and eco-friendly strategies.

Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, Mangaluru, conducted a competition as part of their programme to recognize ‘The Best Green Initiative’ among the colleges of Mangaluru.
