Bengaluru: We will not allow politics in the name of religion- Yeddyurappa

Daijiworld Media Network-Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Aug 6: “Chief minister Siddaramaiah and Congress are playing politics by talking about making Lingayat, a separate religion. Siddaramaiah is using his ministers for this purpose. But they should keep in mind that we will not allow politics in the name of religion,” said BJP state chief and former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa on Saturday, August 5.

Yeddyurappa was speaking in the BJP Executive Committee meeting held on Palace Grounds.

“Karnataka has reached number one position in corruption now. This is the time we realize the importance of making Karnataka, a Congress-free state. BJP national chief Amit Shah and prime minister Narendra Modi have this dream of making India, a nation free of Congress rule. We should help them in realising this dream,” he added.

“Amith Shah will be in state for 3 days from August 12. He will give us a strategy to face the next Assembly elections in state, the way he did for Uttar Pradesh elections,” he said.

“Congress is planning to implicate BJP leaders in various cases to divert the minds of people and to take revenge against us. They are also digging up old cases. We are ready and well-equipped to face consequences,” he challenged.

He also called the BJP executives to boycott foreign goods. He informed that a drive titled ‘Swadeshi Suraksha Abhiyan’ will be held from August 6 to 15 to boycott and destroy foreign goods. “Destroy the foreign goods you possess. Make a vow to use only Indian goods. We will create awareness on this during the Abhiyan.” he concluded.

I was surprised to hear the speech of Mr. Yudirappa. Party which wins elections Only because of playing religion, Today speaks such lies. BJP wins Only because of the support of RSS and Bajiranga Dal. Both of them spread communalism and hatred.

1000 cows were killed by the flood in Rajasthan it hasn't worry, but worried about others kitchen.

I wish Yudirappa all the best. Hope he will not go to jail with Shoba Karandije before the assembly election.

If people have brains they don't vote for BJP. Simple is that. BJP is equally corrupt as that of Congress. But BJP wants to show that others are corrupt and they are non corrupt. Everyone knows Yediyurappa's corruption. Forget about Yediyurappa. Our own MP who was a hospital worker and now a crorepathi after joining politics. BJP silent on it's corrupt CM's like Shivraj Singh Chohan, Vasundhara Raje, Raman Singh and top leaders Gadkari and many more. BJP only fake speeches and no action. Before election there were big talks about Robert Vadra. Now why BJP is silent on Vadra? Is it just because Vadra has business connection with Adani who is BJP's favourite businessmen???

Flavian, You seem yo be not understanding the basic facts of 'swadeshi movement'.
There are some sectors where the foreign companies take all the benefits and market share by their sheer advertising skills.
For example, Pespi and Coke can very well replaced by Indian brands or natural drinks like tender coconut (not Gomuthra) . There are good indian alternatives for Lays. Chinese firecrackers too can be avoided.
All these could contribute to Indian economy.

Oppo and Vivo spends highest in Indian market for advertisements than Apple, samsung and other counterparts. Here you can chose the Korean Samsung or american Apple.

Although I am not inclined to agree with you Mr. Shankar, however, swadeshi movement can not be successful with measure of force closure and no encouragement to small scale industries, especially those affecting the medium and low income semi skilled workforces daily living. On the other hand, our neighbor country is successful in flooding the liberal economic markets of the world, including our country, with their low value and non-durable items and products. It cannot be done with only supporting a handful of huge industrialists.... like our central Govt is doing. This is why swadeshi movement is not happening in our country.

With the current government at the centre please do not believe everything that is reported on TV or social media. The centre is controlling a lot of what is reported and how it is reported in a lot of the media. Media such NDTV who do not toe the central government's line have been raided by the CBI and threatened with more CBI and IT raids. Even if you are not dirty the powers that be can spread lies, plant fake evidence and make you look dirty or make your crime look bigger that it actually is to the outside world. Can we get into trouble for writing this ? who knows ? however, the truth must be told one way or the other. Truth cannot succumb to threat or blackmail or bought by allurement of money or favours.
By the way the ITD have stated in writing that no cash was recovered from DKS's residence. See Manish Tewari's opening comments on the 'The Big Fight' programme on NDTV 24X7 aired yesterday.

Siddu has put BJP and Yuddi in back foot.

All political parties do politics based on religion. However, BJP can not survive without RSS forced hindutva ideology and while congress leadership think it can not survive without showing more sympathetic to minorities. Electorally, yes it is very much true.

But, for 21st century, both are obsolete theories. However, these days FAKE claim sells faster than REALITY OR TRUTH, so one has to accept it with heavy heart. By the way, demonetization had cleaned all black money, terrorism and fake notes. Isn't it?

Politicians in the name of Religion was started by your party and only your party uses it as a tool as election benefit.
Are you not witness how elections were fought in olden days where your party was not at all into existence. Those days the topic was only Growth & Development (Roti, Kapda, Makaan aur Naukri)

Ever since your party existed, you guys started using Religion as your subject and communalised entire India in the name of Ram, Ram Mandir, Hindu vs Muslim enmity etc. Whom are you guys fooling that others have used Religion as politics. Shame on you guys. How many innocents life & blood your party and it's ideology has taken. Qhuda ki laanath ho tum logo par aur tumhari party par. Bahut jaldh sab dhoob jayega. Nothing is permanent.
