Bengaluru, Aug 6: A person named Guruprasad from Bidadi has complained to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against energy minister D K Shivakumar alleging money laundering and corruption.

Guruprasad has alleged in his complaint that D K Shivakumar had converted black money amounting to Rs 2,000 crore by making use of facility to convert demonetised currency notes, into new currency.

“Sachin Narayan, who owns Ashoka Hotel at Hassan, had played a major role in this conversion. The conversion was done through people who were handed old notes up to Rs 2 lac per person for exchange through banks,” reads the complaint.

There is also mention of astrologer Dwarakanath in the complaint saying he also helped Shivakumar in converting notes.

The complaint also accuses Shivakumar of earning Rs 6,000 crore through irregularities committed in the name of setting up of solar power project Pavagada, with the help of G V Balram, managing director of Renewable Energy Development Corporation, and personal secretary of energy minister, Sridha.

Guruprasad had given a similar complaint to Enforcement Directorate (ED) two days before.

Income Tax department had raided the properties of minister Shivakumar and his aides in multiple locations. The raids that lasted for nearly 72 hours ended on Saturday.
