Kasargod, Jul 30: Sudden and unexpected state-wide strike called by the BJP on Sunday July 30, condemning the murder of RSS activist Rajesh in Thiruvananthapuram, has caused much inconvenience to the public.

After a rally within the city in the morning, BJP workers forced the shopkeepers to close their shops. They also stopped vehicles on the road. As of now all the shops remain closed.

Many people are stranded in Kasargod as well as in surrounding towns as vehicles are not available to travel to any place.

Rajesh was killed in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday at around 9 pm.

Subsequently at around 11 pm, BJP called for a state-wide bandh. But many people did not know about the murder or the bandh till morning.

Some events like weddings were marred due to bandh. KSRTC stopped its services early. Even private buses which ran for some time were forced to stop their operations. Only a few vehicles were seen on the roads in remote villages.

Being a Sunday, students and government workers were spared the inconvenience of the bandh.

The bandh will end at 6 pm.

As per the latest news, 6 persons have been taken into custody by the police for the murder. One who helped them is reportedly absconding.

Hey before u comment read the facts first. A organisation which was banned in Bangladesh was allowed by Mamtha Banerjee for her political gain. This organisation lynched a guy and his son was not allowed to book a complaint in police station. What kind of law is this??? Same organisation protested against India still no action was taken?? For this u want to blame BJP?? Show me one bjp ruled state where there is anti India slogan is raised???
Comin to Bihar whole nation knows Lalu is corrupt and u still want a corrupt govt???
Tell me in which state there is highest conversion to Isis in this country??

Bring the victim's killers to gallows. Let CBI investigate this case as soon as possible, otherwise the notorious communist outfit may damage the evidence in the meantime, which was regularly done making the case to close down. Let peace coexist in the so called God's Own Country by banning the CPI & its associate outfits.

This is BJP-RSS trade mark drama inacted everywhere. First they indulge, provoke and start violence and criminal activities and then blame the opponents for all this disturbance and then go on portraying themselves as innocents and go to the extent of bandhs and hunger strike to gain sympathy and popularity. This is BJP way of vote bank politics. They do this wherever there is hard resistance for them to penetrate. Majority Hindus have nothing to do with minorities of all religion in this political clash but BJP Vs non-BJP groups. They started from Gujrat, then UP, Rajsathan, MP, Karnataka, now doing it in West Bengal, Kearala and Goa, slowly it will spread to the NE. Amit Shah is repeating the same evil tactics which Advani used to do wherever he visited the place the next day there used to be violence and criminal activities and it goes on.........

Sorry for the death of Rajesh. If RSS or ISIS or any such ideologies following organization and it's followers should be banned. Why when other honest citizen die no bundh or protest by anyone. RSS doesn't own India and it's citizen but govt should play it's role to play without bias to help everyone equally without religious bias. ModI should distance himself from RSS and serve the nation single open minded without any bias on it's citizen. He goes international trips and give banya talk and returns and does things unsecural directly or through his RSS buddies which India goes reverse in prosperity. I like ModI except his affiliation with RSS where he drowns in thier ideologies puts him wrong path. Leadership role should be without bias makes a good Pm

Why should there be a bandh whenever someone from the RSS or the BJP is murdered? Why should this happen at irritatingly regular intervals causing so much hardship to the public? Why can't this be stopped once and for all? We don't even know the reason why this fellow was murdered. It could be for some personal reasons or rivalry. Who knows? Then why this bandh by a political party? What does a political party have to do when one of its members is killed for some personal reasons. Does this mean that every person who is a supporter of the RSS or the BJP is a good person or doesn't deserve to be killed? They think no end of themselves and feel whatever they do will be condoned. Is there no law in this country to stop all this nonsense? The poor people have to suffer for no fault of theirs because of these unscrupulous politicians.

My husband is from Kasaragod. I was not aware of the band. I travel to Kasargod and gotten in the railway station. To my bad luck there is a band here. Everything is closed and every establishment is closed. I am finding it hard to go back without meeting my dear husband. However as there is not much facility I am going back. Banned causes so much inconvenience to people and we have to suffer. Especially the poor people who do not have enough money. Anyway I am of the opinion that all kinds of Band must be stopped
