Mangaluru: State to provide free LPG connections, gas stoves under Anila Bhagya - Khader

Daijiworld Media Netwok - Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, May 27: The state government has granted permission to distribute free LPG connections to the beneficiaries under the scheme 'Mukya Mantri Anila Bhagya Yojane', and along with LPG connections, the beneficiaries will also get double burner gas stoves, announced minister for food and civil supplies U T Khader.

Addressing a press meet at the Circuit House here on Thursday July 27, Khader said, "The state government will provide free LPG connections and double burner gas stoves to the beneficiaries under this scheme. The priority household (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojane (AAY) ration card holders who do not have LPG connections will be eligible to avail this scheme. Any female member of a family who holds the PHH or AAY ration card and who is above 18 years of age can approach a service kiosk of the department to apply for MMABY.

"In case there is no female member holding the ration card, then any male member above 18 years can apply for Mukhya Mantri Anila Bhagya Yojane. Taluk panchayat offices, zilla panchayat offices and Jana Snehi Kendras will accept the applications," he added.

"A separate web page for MMABY shall be developed and a link will be available from the website of the food department too. The web page will display information regarding scheme guidelines of MMABY. Information will be available on standerd specifications of the double burner gas stove, district-wise status of applications, approval, release and distribution of connections, list of beneficiaries, helpline numbers for grievance redressal and queries regarding safety issues," Khader informed.

Answering questions on the possibility of district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai becoming the home minister, Khader said, "I heard the news in the media. If he does become the home minister, it is an honour to our district. It is happy moment for all of us. I wish the news becomes true."

Replying to a question on rumours of his withdrawal from the cabinet and appointment as a full time Congress leader, he said, "Before becoming minister, I was full time party worker. If the state leadership appoints me again as a full time worker, I will be happy to oblige. I always obey the state leadership and the party high command."

Khader Bai, you will make these people lazier by giving rice at rs.1/- per kg, now free LPG with stove, etc etc- all these so called State Govt " Bhaghyas" at whose cost sir? at Tax payers' cost isnt it? Give facilities but limited. Give them opportunity to work n earn.

" It is better you give them a Fishing Bait and teach them to Fish, rather than supply fish for them every day. " is a famous saying. Unless they work, when n how will they learn tho Fish if you dont teach them n allow them to work.

You will find these people living at Govt cost, loitering around in Govt office, while at work. Take un-due advantages of opportunities given free. !!

My suggestion is give subsidies and let them pay a cost, so they learn the value of money.

Everything what we saved going to Bhagya people. while rich people have many to support them to pay less tax than what they actually have to pay. But people in between middle class and poor, none of the minister or anyone bothered. Does any of these leaders know people who retired in last ten years or so with their small saving made from Indian salary are struggling to live at present situation ? Only trying to please Bhagya people who are living more comfortably than we above group of people. At least senior citizens deposit rate could have kept unchanged, but preaching people have blind eye on such people.

Tax payers has to bear the expense of these bhagya owners , there are lot of well settle people or citizens with good income take full advantage of these schemes because of their proximity with the govt... is there any way or the basis / criteria on which these schemes are distributed?
The problem in India is taxpayers goes on paying tax and certain section of people goes on enjoying the benefits in name of different tags. But no one questions ? These is the reason India is still developing since 70 years of indepence and everyone wants a tag and enjoy freebees of govt... shame on such people and such politicians who are coroding our own nation.....

Read the headline if you can read " State To Provide Free LPG Connection ...........". NDA schemes are unpopular and disastrous like demonitisation, PM gold deposit, PM insurance, Jan Dhan Yojna etc. Nobody wants to venture into this cow standard schemes.
