Udupi, Jul 26: It is normal for school children to skip school with excuses like stomach ache or some other pain. But two school boys in Brahmavar here on Wednesday July 26 used their creativity to cook up their own 'kidnap' story in order to miss school, causing much anxiety to their parents and police alike in the bargain.

Mohammed Ziyad and James (names changed), students of tenth standard in a private high school in Brahmavar, being poor in studies, were under constant pressure from their parents and teachers. Unable to bear the pressure to perform, the two boys packed their clothes on Tuesday July 25, and on Wednesday morning, left for their school as usual.

On the way, they discarded their bicycle, broken wrist watches and identity cards in a desolate place to give the scene a semblance of abduction, and fled. The locals who passed by saw the bicycle and the identity cards, and informed the boys' parents as well as the police. Soon, news spread that the children had been kidnapped and taken away from Brahmavar.

Police solve the case within two hours

Brahmavar police inspector Madhu and circle inspector Srikanth who came to the spot conducted detailed investigation. The police who sensed the kidnap drama immediately sent police teams to find the children. The police started looking for the boys at the bus stand, railway station and other places. They received information that two 15-year-old students were seen at Barkur railway station at around 12.30 pm. When the police reached the spot, they found another boy with these two boys at the railway station. Brahmavar circle inspector Srikanth took them to Brahmavar police station. He gave sound advice to the boys as well as their parents, produced the children in court as per legal procedure and handed them over to their parents. The police thus solved the case in a matter of just two hours.

Third boy who skipped classes also caught

The boy who was found skipping classes along with Ziyad and James is Sunder (name changed), a student of a prestigious private pre-university college in Brahmavar. He was sitting in the railway station to pass time and was found speaking to Ziyad and James. Police brought all the three to the police station. Sunder said that he was a resident of Giliangady and had done nothing wrong. He started crying and insisted that he had no connection with the other two boys. He was consoled and counselled, after which his college principal was called and the boy was sent home.

TV serials inspired kidnap drama

It is said that the boys often watched television serials pertaining to crime. It was from TV serials that they came up with the plan to stage their abduction, it is said.

Good these "kidnapped " boys were held at right time.Of course they were only still children. To be honest,I too dint have much interest to study first.like any school child.later with my mothers good watching and make me understand of to comeup ,Icould later managed .I would first advice parents to support their children with some extra tution when children are weak in studies ,but not pressure,Please dont allow children just to pass time here and there ,specially only with tv.and important spend some time with children when they do home work, praise them when successful marks.and they will be more interesting too in studys.Too much pocket money too is not good.Let them have some free time outside to play.

Am sure these students parents watch "SAVDHAAN INDIA" at home. That program makes your brain numb and dead. It should be banned throughout India.
It gives people different ideas to commit crime.

Corinthians 5:16 says knowledge of this world is foolishness in the eyes of God! That's why don't put more pressure to your kids. Study their talent and ask them in which field they are interested! Based on that put them to that course and let them earn their livelihood. Putting more pressure is of no use instead your children will become more violent. Be careful

These children might have found studies very difficult due to their lack of interest in studies. Their idea was also without any proper aim but was to escape from class and studies and to create sympathy for them if they believe in their abduction drama. Parents and teachers should not put too much pressure on students if they are not interested in studies, instead they have see their route causes for lack of interest and counselled accordingly and slowly bring themback to their studies.
