Madina: First batch of Mangaluru pilgrims arrive in holy city

Madina, Jul 26: When the first batch of Haj pilgrims from Mangaluru touched down here in the early hours of Tuesday July 25, volunteers of Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF), Madina, as well as citizens of Saudi Arabia extended them a warm welcome. All the 159 pilgrims were presented with water, dates and rosaries by the core volunteers of KCF.

Speaking on behalf of pilgrims, Abdul Karim Channavar said that the pilgrims did not face any problems on the way and thanked KCF volunteers for helping the aged and women pilgrims.


    












On this occasion, founder president of Darul Irshad Education Centre, Mani, Zainul Ulema Hamid Musliyar Mani, was extended hearty welcome on behalf of Darul Irshad's Madina unit.

KCF members helped the pilgrims in putting together documents and to secure rooms for their stay.
