Bengaluru: 'Loudmouth' Modi is master of marketing, says Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, Jul 26 (DHNS): Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday said the “loudmouth,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi with zero achievements has mastery over marketing.

Speaking at the inauguration of various welfare schemes of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) for weaker sections, Siddaramaiah said, “I am accused of not marketing the state government’s welfare scheme. We believe in work and not tom-tomming our good deeds. The Central government does the reverse. It does not work because it believes in false propaganda.”

Calling ‘Achche Din’ an empty slogan, Siddaramaiah sought to know, “Former prime minister A B Vajpayee had coined the slogan ‘India Shining’ but did that illuminate the houses of Dalits, minorities and economically weaker sections?”

On former chief minister and state BJP?president B S Yeddyurappa, he said: “People have seen how Yeddyurappa brought hotel-made idli and sambar to have meals at a Dalit’s house. Even the banana was brought from the hotel. If they are really concerned about uplifting Dalits, then let them break the barriers of casteism and encourage inter-caste marriages,” said Siddaramaiah.

Comparing the BJP with scissors and the Congress with needle, he said the BJP believes in dividing society while the Congress believes in uniting it.

Siddaramaiah called the JD(S), which is the Congress’ ally in the BBMP, a party of opportunists.

“These opportunists, who are supporters of hung Assembly, can align with any party. The JD(S) has no belief in social justice and secularism. Minorities must refrain from giving space to such hypocrites, else it will indirectly support the BJP,” warned the chief minister.

At the programme, 892 unemployed people were given cars to start their business whereas under the Sarathi Scheme, 665 people were given autorickshaws.

In all, 285 differently abled persons were given motorised tricycles while 23 mentally challenged people were provided financial aid.

Fees of 584 students studying in government schools were refunded.

Dear Citizens of India, Please dont get carried away by this political vendentta of all parties. End of the day all these politicians are part of the same system which has all the loopholes for corruption. We will remain to be the victims of these loopholes unless we change our mindset and be rational in all our thoughts and actions.

    Dear Marle
You are simply repeating the slogan used by Modi to fool people. Did you know the condition of our Country when it got independence? What was India's GDP then and after independence during Congress rule? BJP or Janasangh or Janata Party were good for nothing. Only in-fighting for the chairs and bringing down the coalition governments formed by Janata Party or their renamed parties whenever they got the opportunity to rule. Even now, after Modi took over, what you have seen to call that it uplifted the life of the Indian population or economy? All the media and judiciary is taken hostage by the current government. Most of the BJP party workers/politicians indicted in scams/corruption cases are given clean chit by using power. Dongi Baba Ramdev is having a good time under the current government. The anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare and his gang is quiet now. Now they don’t want Lokpal. Currency demonetization was another example of pushing back the economy by ten years, as stated by our Economist and Ex-Prime Minister. Instead of creating jobs, India has lost jobs during the tenure of the current government. Even the EVMs are tampered with to win elections. Congress did not have majority government hence it had to depend on the coalition partners to stay afloat, who caused scams. Whereas the current government has full majority. They are focusing on gau raksha just to deflect the public attention from the real issues of the country. The current government has no new ideas. All the old government's policies are being pursued. Clean India was always a slogan of the old government also even from my childhood days. But the public participation & support is equally important to make it a success. For this purpose no new tax is necessary.

No politician should use God or religion, they should believe in own ability. No one will stop them praying to god on personal basis! In public they should keep religion away from politics.

What happened to his promise of creating 2 crore jobs per year?
What is the status of building 100 smart cities?
What happened to his promise of bringing back black money and distributing 15 Lakhs?

People have realised that all the tall promises made by Modi before the elections were all empty promises. Nothing but a brazen attempt to fool the people of India. The tide is going against them. The present CM has provided an Able and Stable Administration for the people of Karnataka and delivered on his promises. Let us all give a Thumbs Up to the Congress for another five years of Peace and Prosperity to the State of Karnataka.

When INC led by Rajiv Gandhi wanted to introduce computers in the 80's your regressive bjp had vociferously opposed the use of Computer.

All the IIT's, IIM's, Dams, National Highways, RTI, RTE, Airports, Sea Ports, Economy Liberalisation in 1991 etc. are the initiatives of INC.
