Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jul 25: Renowned NRI Sayed Abdul Khader Bashu passed away on Tuesday, July 25.

He was 54. He breathed his last due to cardiac arrest in city.

He was a well known social worker and chairman of Green valley institutes in Shiroor. He was a champion of education.

Bashu was involved with a number of philanthropic activities like setting up of Deena schools for specially abled children, building of homes for families of children not having houses, renovation of dilapidated houses, and provision of facilities to specially abled children from all castes and religions etc. For conducting these activities, he had set up Syed Meeran Memorial Trust.

On Tuesday, schools, colleges, shops, and other establishments at Shiroor downed their shutters voluntarily as a mark of respect for the departed soul.

He has left behind wife, two sons, and three daughters. After the Isha Namaz, the funeral was conducted at Jamia Masjid at Kudroli, Mangaluru.

Bashu's daughter had got married recently in city. Cricketer Harbhajan Singh had graced the wedding function. A well wisher of Daijiworld for years, Bashu had visited the corporate office at Bondel on the same day with Harbhajan Singh.

Creating a world class education in the remote place like Shiruru and promoting communal harmony by his words and deeds, Bashu sahib is the best example of an ideal Indian.

Bashu saheb is no more amongst us but the institution he created will remain as a testimony of far sightedness and real SAB KA VIKAAS in the region.

May Allah accept his good deeds and reward him in his afterlife.

Who knew that he was just only a 10 days guest in this world when his daughter got married 10 days ago on 15th of July. Death can approach anyone at anytime.None can escape it. Kya Tera Kya Mera, sab kutch Qhuda ka.

What a great soul we have lost. All those who got his help these years can never forget him. He was helping each and every needy whoever approached him... Just worried about his school in Shiroor. He was managing it so well and built it with so much of interest to uplift community in quality education. Hope whoever takeover the role will take it to the next best level.

May Allah bless this noble soul and reward him a place in Jannatul Firdose. Ameen
