Udupi, Jul 22: Devotees from Chikkaballapur have decorated the Mahakali temple here with massive number of flowers worth Rs five lac. It is a rare devotion with flowers performed traditionally at the temple at Ambalpady.

The temple looks like a flower garden with fragrance spread everywhere. No place in the temple or the idols has been left without flowers.

Nearly two hundred devotees arrive here every year on the last Friday of the Hindu calendar month Ashada with bus full of flowers. The devotees have also hung fruits along with flowers this year.

The number of devotees arriving here increases every year. They say that they will come here to worship the deity so long as they are alive.
