Mumbai: Kannada Sangha inaugurates its annual certificate course

Mumbai, Jul 17: The inaugural programme of the annual Kannada certificate course and distribution of certificates was held at the mini hall of Mysore Association, Matunga on Sunday morning July 16. The courses have been held by Kannada Sangha for the last fifteen years.

S K Sunder, honorary secretary of Sahitya Balaga lit the traditional lamp and set the course for 2017-18 into motion. He also distributed certificates to students who have completed the course.



Kannada teacher Archana R Poojary explained the reason to learn Kannada and its benefits alongside love for English in the country. She also congratulated the successful students of the course on the occasion.

Honorary joint secretary Somanath Karkera welcomed everyone and compered the programme. Gururaj S Nayak gave an introductory address. Chief librarian S K Padmanabha sang a prayer song. Narmada Kini read the list of students who have passed the course. Honorary chief secretary Sathish N Bangera introduced the guests. Honorary treasurer Sudhaker C Poojary proposed the vote of thanks.
