Mysuru: ‘My name is Sidda Rama, I am also a Hindu’ says CM

Daijiworld Media Network –Mysuru (RJP)

Mysuru, Jul 17: “My name is Sidda Rama. I am also a Hindu. BJP workers are not the only Hindus,” said chief minister Siddaramaiah here on Saturday clearly giving an indication that he is keen to woo Hindus before the 2018 assembly polls,

He was speaking to the media here on Saturday, July 15.

Siddaramaiah also accused BJP of dividing society through the Vistarak programmes.

“BJP state chief Yeddyurappa has conducted Vistarak programmes to promote the party’s hidden agenda. BJP is spreading communal hatred in Dakshina Kannada district as they have no other issues to raise,” Siddaramaiah added.

On JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy’s remark that he has doubts about Siddaramaih’s victory in 2018, Siddaramaiah said that it is voters who will decide the fate of candidates and not Kumaraswamy. “People of Gundlupet have elected Congress candidate Geetha Mahadeva Prasad, despite repeated appeals from Yeddyurappa to reject the Congress in the by-polls,” he said.

Meanwhile senior BJP leader, Jagadish Shettar, reacting to the statement made by Siddaramaiah on being a Hindu, said “For first time Siddaramaiah has realised that he is a Hindu. All these days, he claimed to be a member of Ahinda. As he could not do much for the backward communities during his tenure, he is now claiming to be a Hindu. The assertion is just the vote bank politics of Congress leaders, whereas BJP leaders say it with pride that they are Hindus.”

We all know our non-corrupt CM is a Hindu though he never tried to use it as a wooing weapon to attract votes from a communal angel. It is Yeddy's ploy that he is trying to thwart by informing the public that by way of religion, he is no different from any other Hindu

Being a Hindu myself, I had great respect for Modi and I voted BJP last time around. However, being a keen follower of economic status and general conditions in our country, I woke up with a rude shock that I voted for a tyrant. Being educated Hindu, no one can influence my belief and especially the fringe elements from VHP, BD, RSS or any other groups who claims to protect Hinduism. Unfortunately, none of them even know the meaning or tenets of Hinduism. All that I say to my brethren is wake up, and try to understand the realities. No country, using religion as a tool has ever flourished or remained democratic. I think, I don't have to say any more. It is better to choose the lesser of the evil than this demonic party which is bent on communalizing this great country which flourished on Aimsa.

    Mr benneje,
You say you had great respect to Mr Modi and had voted BJP last time round. you talk of Hinduism tenets ahimsa etc. I do knot know on what basis you voted Mr Modi last time roud as he had a tag attached to him for the past 15 years. any how you have a chance to vote out Mr Modi next time round. However, we will ensure his victory in 2019.

Mr. Rajesh, last time around, I looked at who might be able to transform this country on the road of development keeping aside their background (there is none who don't have a tag of corruption, murder among Indian politicians, MMS being an exception) Congress was not lead by a suitable candidate either. I was wrong to think, a man with blood on his hand will change. However, it is my opinion and I don't expect you to accept it. Blindly voting based on religion is the worst mistake one can make.

BJP has consolidated hindus like no other and has given a sense of pride when minority appeasement politics was the order of the day. BJP has also been able to successfully instill a sense of nationalism, although misunderstood by vigilante groups on the ground.. BJP has also been able to tackle difficult subjects such as monopolization of universities by leftists, uniform civil code, foreign NGOs that attempt stalling of our national interests to name a few. BJP has given a standing to India as a nation in the global arena and is not afraid to take stance on issues that affect us.

India is standing on the ideas and foundation laid by previous administration.Nation building can't be done in short time. However seeding seeds of hatred among citizens using government machinery is futile for a country. Hinduism is not equal to nationalism. Each and every citizen of this country irrespective of his faith, irrespective of his gender, believer or atheist is a true nationalist as long as he abides by the Constitution.

A hindu is tolerant of all, embraces the truth and willing to appreciate truth elsewhere as well. A Hindu is full of God and sees the creator in others and the universe. Siddhu is a different Hindu than the BJP

Even 'Pramod Muthalik' is a Hindu name.
Nothing is in the name. Your behavior, culture, sensitivity and love towards other human beings is what makes you a real Hindu.
Splitting the society in the name of cast , sowing the seed of differentiation among children with selective government schemes ... all these doesn't make a person a Hindu, though he bears a Hindu name.

..problem with Hindu politicians in sicular parties is that to project themselves as secular they dont hesitate damage, ridicule, forget religion & community..while politicians of other religion give first preference to religion/faith/community, next comes other things..this is reality..to become secular no need leave your faith,traditions..unfortunately this is happening with many Hindu politicians..preiest of other faith propose, announce, almost canvas for their community politicians but if a swamy does all the hell will break..
