Mangaluru: New office bearers take charge of Rotary club of Bajpe

Mangaluru, Jul 13: The installation ceremony of the new office-bearers of Rotary Club of Bajpe for the year 2017-18 was held at The Rotary Bhavan here on July 11.

Arun Kumar Bhandary, builder and developer from Bajpe was elected as th president of Rotary Club of Bajpe, RI District 3181, Zone 1. Arun Santosh Pinto was elected as secretary and Ravi Poojary as treasurer. The president and his new team of office bearers assumed charge of their respective portfolios at a ceremony in the presence of zonal lieutenant, Gopinath Hegde.

District counselor, PDG Surya Prakash Bhat delivered the keynote address for the evening, while assistant governor, Jossy Pinto highlighted the district’s projects for the year ahead.

The newly elected president spoke about forestation and providing solar electrification for houses that have no access to electricity in the nearby villages.

Secretary Arun Santosh Pinto delivered the vote of thanks.
