Ramnagar: Five killed in ghastly car-truck collision at Kanakapura

Ramanagar, Jul 11: In a horrific incident, five persons were killed on the spot in a head-on collision between a milk truck and a car near Toppaganahalli in Kanakapura taluk.

The accident took place on the national highway between Bengaluru and Dindigal.

The car was moving from Kanakapura to Bengaluru. The truck carried Tamil Nadu registration.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed.

Sources said that all the deceased were between 25-30 years old.

A document found in the car revealed the name of one Anil Kumar, a resident of HSR Layout in Bengaluru.

The bodies were retrieved from the mangles vehicle using a JCB.

Kanakapura rural police have registered a case.

    I was present after the accident. It was very sad that car was moved to road side using JCB while mangled bodies inside. There where no doctor who confirmed death while they were inside the crashed car. RIP All, really sorry for any of the survivor by then not being given medical attention.

    Sand was thrown on the ground to cover the huge blood spill.
