Mangaluru: Red Cross sets up emergency services team

Mangaluru, Jul 10: Disaster management department of Dakshina Kannada district unit of Indian Red Cross has set up emergency services team. This team will be functional till August 30.

People can get in contact with this te am for assistance in case of s erious natural disasters like falling of trees, flood water endangering their lives, and such other cases.

Red Cross district president, CA Shantharam Shetty said that the organization needs support of NGOs, Rotarjy, JCI, Lions Club etc in making this programme successful.

    It would be better if political parties put these persons Banners in every streets of Mangalore ,so at least people our town will be aware of such persons ,instead of putting politicians banners & their names on barricades
