Mangaluru: Attack on student at Adyar Padavu - CCB police arrest three youths

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jul 9: The city crime branch (CCB) police on Sunday July 9 arrested three persons in connection to the murderous assault on a student at Adyar Padavu on the evening of July 7.

The arrested are Nitin Poojary (21), a resident of Farangipete and electrician by profession, Pranesh Poojary (20), a resident of Adyar, and Kishan Poojary (21) of Padil, who is a carpenter.

Sajid (23), a native of Mallapuram in Kerala, pursuing civil engineering in a city-based college, was attacked by a group on July 7.

Sajid and his friend Naufal were returning by bike to Bittpade after having tea at Adyar when a group of three stopped them by the roadside and told them that their two-wheeler had run out of petrol. When Naufal and Sajid came forward to give them petrol, the youths attacked them. While Naufal managed to escape, Sajid sustained injuries and was admitted to a private hospital where he is still recuperating. The attackers fled from the spot soon after.

Among the arrested persons, the first and second accused already face other cases in Mangaluru rural police station.

The CCB police recovered the two-wheeler used in the crime. Both the two-wheeler as well as the accused have been handed over to Mangaluru rural police for further investigations.

The arrest operation was conducted on the orders of police commissioner T R Suresh, and under the directions of DCPs Shantharaju and Hanumantharaya. The team was guided by ACP Valentine D'Souza, and led by CCB inspector Sunil Y Naik.

Indians were enslaved by Caste System, Moguls and Britishers, in the past. It seems we love it. We are now royally walking towards another kind of slavery, where again people are told, you are supposed to do this, or do that, in the name of culture and religion.

Being far superior educated and having world knowledge, if we Indians are walking towards the loosing end voluntarily - it is our educated choice. We seen how groups like Taleban, ISIS, Brotherhood, etc emerged and destroyed their own countries. We are today letting religious groups to take advantage and buy us violence in return.

What a perfect way to enter a golden age of development? Exactly like the father of RSS worker who died the other day asked, no political parties, no religious groups could save him. It is every mother, every father, every sister, children or brothers would be asking the other party, when one of their siblings meet such fate, some times, even as a collateral casualty.

Completely agree with the view.Once more it's the foolish warrior class who think they are doing heroics in the name of hatred at the behest of cowards who instigate them .These guys lose their future although alive...instigators as usual safe and sound.People have to wake up & realize that they are being used as rag cloth.

And here you guys are doing all this. Being from different community those boys came forward to help you guys. Just imagine in future if someone is really in need in such areas does anyone will dare to help anyone?. You all are just Bhoj on this earth. Spoiling everyone's peace and then urging for others resignation.

Make sure to come back to forum to abuse cong ministers too if and when sharat's killers are arrested.. afterall, attack is wrong and condemnable.. but killing and butchering needs far more condemnation if someone has that conciousness....

Big question is where are the murderers of sharat.. may be enjoying royal treatement for their brave act on a innocent harmless person.. hoping police will trace them soon. We still have faith in judiciary
