Bengaluru: Inspector catches two murder suspects in filmy style by injuring them

Bengaluru, Jul 8 (DHNS): A police inspector shot at two murder suspects and injured them at Kacharakanahalli on Thursday midnight.

The suspects are Santosh (19), a resident of Bhadravathi, and Shyam (19) from Yadgir. They are being treated at Banaswadi Speciality Hospital and are said to be out of danger. Two head constables Srinivas and Shashidhar were also injured in the incident. They too are stable.

Santosh and Shyam hacked Ranjith (28), a resident of Pulikeshinagar, to death at a BBMP cattle shed on Robertson Road on Wednesday night. They are associates of Pramod, the prime suspect in the case, who is at large. Ranjith and Pramod resided in the same area and were rivals, said the police.

A special team was constituted to arrest the suspects involved in Ranjith’s murder case. “We received information that Santosh and Shyam were moving around at Muslim Colony in Hennur. We sent constable Srinivas there,” said a senior police officer.

Srinivas intercepted the suspects and directed them to surrender. Instead they attacked him with a dagger and fled towards Kacharakanahalli. Srinivas sustained injuries on his hand. Hennur police inspector Srinivas was tipped off about the movement of the suspects at Kacharakanahalli. The inspector and constable Shashidhar intercepted the duo and asked them to surrender. The suspects attacked Shashidhar with a dagger and caused injuries on his hand.

“The inspector shot in the air twice and asked them to surrender. The two ignored him and took out revolvers to shoot at the inspector. Srinivas sensed danger and shot at suspects twice and injured them,” the officer added.

As the duo collapsed bleeding profusely, the police shifted them to the hospital. Pramod had vowed to settle scores with Ranjith after the latter had slapped him twice in public over a petty issue. Pramod and the two suspects had gone to the BBMP cattle shed on Robertson Road to discuss something.

During the discussion, Ranjith slapped Pramod, the suspects lost their cool and attacked Ranjith with lethal weapons and killed him.

These gangsters will never improve.First itself, constable asking them to surrender, should have with the help of a second person arrested them.No such thieves will surrender.Police should go instead of alone, wiht a second person. And second time ,good they shot them.should have shot them once and for ever.instead of again case, punishment for sometime, and free and case continues from beginning. They dont progress.
