Udupi, Jul 2: In a suicide bid, a 54-year-old man allegedly jumped into a pond at Manipura in Katpady here on Sunday July 2.

Prakash Pai, a resident near Vadiraja road close to Sri Krishna Math here, is feared to have drowned.

Prakash is a development officer at the main branch of LIC in Udupi.

His car was found parked near the bridge across the pond.

A death note was found in the car, in which Prakash reportedly stated that he was taking the extreme step as he was unable to cope with severe headache, and that he alone was responsible for his death.

Prakash is married and has a daughter, sources said.

Kaup police arrived at the spot and registered a case.

The body is yet to be found and search is on.

Very very sad news. But other side I doubt about his cause given about head ache.Only becuase of severe headache, one simply throw his life aside ,leaving his family back?Or had any problems in his business which set headache? One says shouldnt say bad about dead.Nowadays we have so many ways to findout andtreat headache.Even though not always successful, shouldnt give up.Heartfelt sympathy to his family.May his soul rest n peace.when in pond ,they should find his body one day or other. It doesnt remain long in.Kindly findout soon what is the matter.Or making people believe suecide, has swimmed again other end and want to start a new life?Bit doubt, because one want to suecide doesnt travel with car.

I feel pity on him, his wife and only daughter. God gave him enough to live his life, still he committed suicide to end his life. May be he was suffering mentally or kind of illness, but we have to bear with it whatever difficulties we face. There are people with unbearable difficulties and sadness in life, sometime never seen happiness at all, but still lead their life without showing anything. Heartfelt condolences to his family
