Mumbai: Bantara Sangha holds annual welfare programme

Mumbai, Jun 30: Bantara Sangha educational and social welfare committee held their annual welfare programme sponsored by Sudhir V Shetty, managing director of Charisma Builders at Radhabhai T Thimmappa Bhandary auditorium, Kurla east on Thursday evening June 29.

Devendra Fadnavis, chief minister of Maharashtra, distributed scholarships to hundreds of students of Bunts community on the occasion.

Prabhaker L Shetty, president of the Sangha chaired the programme. Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel lit the traditional lamp. Mumbai north MP Gopal C Shetty was the chief guest. Charisma Builders managing director Sudhir V Shetty, Tunga Hotel group's managing director and social welfare project organizer Sudhaker S Hegde, Bengaluru MRG group's managing director Korangrapadi Prakash M Shetty were present as guests of honour.



Education and social welfare committee executive president Nakriguthu Vivek Shetty welcomed and delivered the keynote address.

The chief minister congratulated and honoured S M Shetty education committee executive president Jayarama N Shetty, S M Shetty college principal Dr Sridhar Shetty, S M Shetty junior college principal Seema Sablok and heads of other departments on the occasion.

Vice president of the Sangha, Padmanabha S Payyade, joint treasurer Mahesh S Shetty, ladies wing executive president Latha Jayarama Shetty, youth wing executive president Vivek V Shetty, higher education committee executive president Appanna M Shetty, secretary Bhasker Shetty Karnad and treasurer CA Ramesh A Shetty were on the dais.

The programme began with Bantageethe. Shailaja A Shetty sang a prayer song. Honorary treasurer CA I R Shetty introduced chief minister Fadnavis. Jaya A Shetty, Vijetha S Shetty and Ashok Pakkala compered the programme. Honorary secretary Ulthooru Mohandas Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.

Deepak Rai Bale Telipale group presented a farce. Prakash K and Dinesh Nayak Mithanadka provided the music.
