Mangaluru: 'My Name is Annappa' to mesmerise audience through songs

Mangaluru, Jun 30: Songs played a major part in the success of Coastalwood hit 'Pilibail Yamunakka'. Similar initiative is being made in Tulu film 'My Name is Annappa' too.

Director Mayur R Shetty and music director Kishore Kumar Shetty have stressed on the use of live instruments instead of electronic instruments in the songs. Rare musical instruments which were not seen so far are being introduced in the film. Music director Kishore Kumar is working in Chennai and Mumbai in this connection, informed the film team.

There are six songs in the film. Mayur Shetty has the written lyrics. According to him, the composing of some songs is already completed.

Rohan Shetty and Harish Rao are the executive producers of 'My Name is Annappa'. The team did not disclose the details of the producer. The  shooting of the film will begin in August in the outskirts in Mangaluru. Mayur Shetty who has taken up the responsibility of direction has written the story and script. The film is said to be a comedy-thriller.
