54-year-old man arrested under POCSO for sexual assault of minor girl

Bengaluru, Jun 28: A 54-year-old man has been arrested under the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) for allegedly sexually assaulting underage girl.

According to the Chandra layout police here, the man identified and Abdul Ghani lured the unsuspecting girl into his house by offering to provide her bread and sexually assaulted her.

On coming to know about the incident, the girl's parents rushed her to Vani Vilas Hospital, where the sexual assault was confirmed.

The accused was subsequently charged under POCSO and arrested.

A case has been registered at the Chandra Layout Police Station.
