Kundapur: Woman jumps out from jeep with fear when axle breaks, dies

Kundapur, Jun 26: A woman died on Monday, June 26 as a consequence of jumping out from a moving jeep with fear when its axel was broken.

Savitha (32) from Thrissur is the person deceased.

As per details, 8 people including Savitha and her husband Biju had come to visit the temple at Kodachadri. While they were returning from the temple in the jeep, axle got broken suddenly and Savitha jumped out from the jeep with fear. Biju too followed to save her. When she jumped, the rear side of the jeep hit her head and there was heavy bleeding.

Savitha was rushed towards a hospital in another vehicle. But she breathed her last while reaching Vandse. Biju sustained minor injuries.

Though the road leading to Kodachadri is steep and dangerous, no death due to accident has been reported so far.
Savitha was working as a government employee in Kasargod.

A case stands registered at Hosanagara police station in Shivamogga district
