Bengaluru: No early elections, only during next summer –Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, Jun 26: There were speculations that the state government was planning to advance the Assembly elections in the state. Opposition parties like BJP and JD(S) too had predicted this. But now the chief minister Siddaramaiah himself has made clear that there will not be any early polls.

While speaking to reporters on Sunday June 25, before attending a programme to lay foundation stone for various development works in the city, Siddaramaiah said that the polls will be held in April or May 2018.

“BJP leaders are unnecessarily creating confusion about the polls. But the elections will be held as per the schedule,” he said.

It is remembered that BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa in the recent past repeatedly spoke about the advancement of elections.

“Congress is prepared to face the elections. The process of forming booth level committees is under progress,” Siddaramaiah informed.

Congress party high command has already decided that Siddaramaiah will remain as the chief ministerial candidate for the next Assembly elections. Dr G Parameshwara is continuing as party chief.

Siddu led INC has been pro-people, efficient and effective. Unlike the earlier bjp government Congress govt has managed to fulfill approximately 140 out of 180 promises stated in the manifesto.

We have still not forgotten Illegal Iron ore mining scam, Land Denotification scam, 2008 Shooting farmers in Haveri, Resort politics, Operation Kamala, Porn-in-assembly scandal, Cash counting machine scandal, Drought mismanagement.

Blind Bhakth cannot see any good. Congress in Karnataka is far better than BJP. BJP can win by communal card as they don't have any good agenda and they don't have any pro people attitude.
