Udupi: 'I am a real farmer, not Siddaramaiah' - Kumaraswamy attacks CM on loan waiver

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (HB)

Udupi, Jun 25: JD(S) state president and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Sunday June 25 took a dig at the Congress state government's recent announcement of loan waiver to farmers and said that chief minister Siddaramaiah was a 'superficial farmer' while he was a 'real' one.

Speaking to reporters during his visit to Sri Krishna Math here, Kumaraswamy said, "I know all about what it is to be a farmer, and I do not need to learn it from Siddaramaiah. I was a farmer all my life till I joined politics. I have ploughed in the fields with bullock carts and carried cowdung. Siddaramaiah is a superficial farmer whereas I am a genuine one."

Attacking the CM further, Kumaraswamy said, "What has the CM really done for farmers? He has no concern for them. The loan waiver is just an attempt to pull wool over people's eyes. Just wait and watch, the result of the loan waiver will be known in a month or two. His lackadaisical attitude is responsible for the condition our state is in. Siddaramaiah-led government is even worse that the government that was led by former CM Veerappa Moily."

Slamming Siddaramaiah for not visiting Sri Krishna Math during the recent visit of President Pranab Mukherjee said, "The CM should have visited Sri Krishna Math as per protocol and as a mark of respect to the President. He did not come despite invitation from Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji. Not visiting Sri Krishna Math is a loss to Siddaramaiah, it has in no way affected the temple."

Asserting that JD(S) will back Meera Kumar as Congress party's choice of Presidential candidate, he said, "Meera Kumar has done good work and is a suitable candidate for the post. Ghulam Nabi Azad of Congress called up JD(S) president H D Deve Gowda and me to ask our support. Altogether, 17 political parties including the JD(S) will support Meera Kumar."

During his visit, Kumaraswamy along with his wife Anita and son Nikhil sought divine blessings and also met Paryaya Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji. JD(S) district president Yogish Shetty, and JD(S) women's wing president Shalini Kenchanur were present.

This HDK neither good for politics nor for State. If any film industries want a person to act behind the screen please employ this HDK.

    This HDK is always like, "ಆರು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಅತ್ತೆ ಕಡೆ, ಮೂರು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಸೊಸೆ ಕಡೆ".

Says the one who has bought thousands of acres of lands from poor farmers at throw prices, acquired so many lands during the NICE road works(we all know how big a scam it turned out to be). There was a point if time when BJP or Congress had to seek out your support to form a coalition party Mr.Kumarswamy, there's a reason why JDS has been rejected hands down all over in the last few years. No doubt you are a good person but Evrytime a platform was given you guys failed to deliver.

Such politicians would like to claim themselves as Farmers, Poor, Athletes, Saints but social workers.
Opting for anything other than their own calling for which they are responsible for.
They will not change; unless people use their voting power and compel them work for what they are called to and change for better.

Neither of you are the real farmers. You have to be either a politician or a farmer. You cannot hold two profession at one time. It is like Jack of all trades master of none. A real farmer is one who sow and grows food for the people of India. You politicians loot our taxes for your personal gain.

You are right kumarasaamy - until u joined politics u ploughed land, done farm work and carried cow dung also -lets agree your statement. But once u joined politics u ploughed Karnataka land especially Hassan / did illegal mining work and tried to fill cow dung into our head. We agree that Siddu is not good at all but far better than you looter family. Keep yourself away from us Mangaloreans. We are literate and wise people. No wonder by next election you will follow S M Krishna and join BJP. Are you not happy with what you looted so far ?

Kumara swami is another total useless leader for karnatak . these kind of people will loot karnaka more if we give any opportunity .
he claims he himself farmer ???? media should ask him direct question how can he afford to buy over 10 to 20 crores worth of luxury cars for his son Nikil ?????

it is easy to comment to current to any one , what was his contribution to karnaka during his term of CM ?????
Just visiting Krishna Matta along with Local Boys dosent slove our peoples need . one has to work with vision and God will bless .

look at every year our coastal belt facing water , flood , sea erosion. same stories over the past 25 -30years , ministers visit and talk.

for udupi one of the best contribution from our current CM is upgrading government hospital with private hand for better service . this is what poor or common people required from the government ( state as we ll center)

All CMs need not be farmers. If you were/is a real farmer you should have waived the loans when you were a Chief Minister. Why boasting now? Though you are a real farmer, in future also you will not become a CM under any circumstances. Mind it.
